It is almost axiomatic that no plan which we come up with goes according to said plan. Our previous trips have included such incidents as ferocious attacking deer, motorcycle wrecks (totalled naturally), hospital stays, and the ever-present "I thought you knew where we were going" discussions after making an ill-advised turn off our projected route. With that knowledge in mind, I have devised a packing list that should handle everything that we will encounter. It is so sad that John finds it necessary to roll on the floor laughing at that statement. From the left: large tool roll, small tool roll, flat tire fix-it kit w/compressor; bungee cords, first aid kit; Gerber multi-tool; chaps; air shocks pump, toilet paper (more important than you would think), riding gloves, Gore-tex pants, Gore-tex jacket; Harley saddlebag liner with clothing for 5 days, long-sleeved tshirt, white cashmere scarf, leather riding jacket, leather vest.
